					<description>Hi Carole,

Yes, I find that as well, that some patterns tell you to cut the small pieces first, which just makes no sense! I'm the same way, I cut the large pieces first, and then I can even cut some smaller pieces from the leftover wider strips, and I always have extra fabrics at the end. Better than having a fabric crisis, though!

Thanks for your comments!

					<description>Nadine,

First let me thank you for the great podcast. I am just catching up, being so busy with school. I decided it was time I reward myself just for today. I'm quilting while listening to you.

Regarding pattern instructions, what I like to do is cut my big pieces first. Especially if I have other smaller pieces to cut. This way I can sometimes use the excess from the larger pieces to make smaller pieces. Patterns seem to work from small to big. I like to avoid as much scrap fabric as I can and maximize my cutting. Just thought I'd pass my method along.

Thanks again for your podcast.
